| For Emily competitive dancing is equally
important to her physical health as her mental well being.
Hopes and dreams are just as big a part of overall health
as physical exercise, and her accomplishments are great for
her state of mind. Her goal should be just like any
other kiddo trying to win a dance competition, but for Emily
it is so much more. Success at a competition that involves
dancers from all over the country is not simply a trophy.
It is a victory in mental warfare. If she can succeed at dance,
then she can succeed with her health. Best of all, mom and
dad found it! Emily loves to dance.
Most people would say that an 11-hour a week dance schedule
would be too much for any child, but not for Emily…she
lives to dance, and dances to live.
Emily competes as a solo dancer and along side her team members
in duet, small group and large group dances.
Below is a list of some of their accomplishments in the 2005
